Caprese Toast

Traditional Italian Caprese salad takes a twist when served on toast.  Fresh basil, creamy mozzarella, ripe juicy tomato…all of those wonderful flavors are in every delicious bite.  The only thing better is pairing it with a hot bowl of soup.

Cooking Directions

  • Layer the bread slice with the cheese and tomato.  Top with the basil.  Drizzle with the oil.  Season to taste.

  • 2 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 2 thin tomato slice
  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
  • 0.25 teaspoon olive oil
