Italian Burgers with Olives & Mozzarella

Ground beef burgers become extra-special when they're topped with mozzarella cheese and served on Italian bread with a flavorful tomato-olive sauce.

Cooking Directions

  • Shape the beef into 6 (1/2-inch thick) burgers.
  • Cook the burgers in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned on both sides.  Pour off any fat.
  • Stir the soup, water, oregano and olives in the skillet and heat to a boil.  Reduce the heat to low.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until desired doneness.
  • Top the burgers with the cheese and cook until the cheese is melted.  Serve the burgers on the bread with the soup mixture for dipping.

  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 0.333 cup water
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 0.333 cup sliced pimento-stuffed olives
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 12 slices Italian bread
